Change is already underway within the Upper Lee Valley, with planning permissions in Tottenham Hale, support for the new masterplan at Blackhorse Lane, and significant retail developments in Edmonton and Enfield. Consensus is also building for major development proposals at Central Leeside.
- A number of large sites have been identified as zones of change
within the ULV which will form the backbone of regeneration for
the area
- There is emerging consensus among development agencies
and public authorities to attract large-scale, coordinated
investment into the area
- Strategic plan-making is being progressed by the Boroughs
and the Greater London Authority. A range of options is being
considered at Central Leeside and North East Enfield/ Ponders
End. Plans are already endorsed at Tottenham Hale and
Blackhorse Lane
- There is great potential for development and intensification
in gap sites along the A1010, with key sites already coming
forward. Investments such as the recently opened Bernie Grant
Arts centre indicate that change is underway
- The Lee Valley Regional Park and its extensive waterside areas have the potential to enhance investment values by offering significant leisure and lifestyle opportunities. The waterways also provide opportunities for sustainable transport for both business and freight activities
